A Memorable Journey

Our adventure began just outside of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, at the cozy Twin Creek RV Resort. The vibrant fall colors of October 2021 set the perfect backdrop for our stay. We started our week with a few trips to Pigeon Forge, exploring its charming attractions. One of our favorite stops was Old Mill Street, where we discovered delightful shops like Stardust Candles, known for their prank candles. It was fun exploring the historic part of the city.

Capturing the Beauty of the Smokies

During our trip, we drove the iconic loop drive through the park. The loop offered us glimpses of diverse wildlife, making the experience even more magical. Traveling and discovering new places is a passion of mine, and this trip was no exception.

Anakeesta Adventure

A highlight of our visit was the thrilling sky lift ride to Anakeesta. My son, Wesley, and I marveled at the panoramic views of the mountains as we ascended above the city. Despite the misting rain, the experience was unforgettable. Meanwhile, Cindy and Carolyn enjoyed a relaxing day back at the resort and visiting some of the local shops in Pigeon Forge.

The Story Behind "The Old Cabin"

While exploring the park, I spotted a charming cabin nestled off to the right of the road. I couldn't resist stopping to capture its beauty. A fellow photographer had taught me a technique where placing lights inside the cabin creates the illusion of an occupied, warm, and inviting space. Using this method, I captured the image of "The Old Cabin." This photograph, now transformed into a 1000-piece puzzle, allows you to bring a piece of the Smoky Mountains into your home.
